Denise Mukadam was a research administrator at the University of Manchester for 14 years, leaving in 2010 to become a full time student and completed an undergraduate degree in psychology with the Open University whilst undergoing advanced clinical training in Counselling and Psychotherapy. As part of her clinical training she worked as a trainee counsellor with a NHS primary care mental health team. Her approach is influenced by a variety of models including transactional analysis, person centred approaches and mindfulness based CBT. These approaches can be adapted to help clients understand their psychological concerns, which can sometimes surface as stress, anxiety, depression or low self esteem. As a therapist she strives to foster a welcoming, safe environment; to encourage her clients to find ways 'to be all that they wish to be'.
